About the Project
Project Overview
SPIN Lens (Spatial Lens) is a crowdsourced geospatial discovery suite from Geo-Intel Lab / IITTNiF. Contributors capture geotagged photos with in-app camera privacy steps, categorize places, and submit them for admin moderation; vendors can self-list shops for approval. A Flutter mobile app, React admin panel, and Go Fiber API with PostgreSQL/PostGIS form a moderated pipeline from field photo to trusted map pins, rewards, and discovery.
Problem Statement
Rural and village economies across India are often underrepresented on mainstream maps. Without location-verified field capture, duplicate checks, privacy controls, and a moderated submission queue, community amenity data stays incomplete, untrusted, or hard to sustain.
Solution
One pipeline from field photo to moderated map pin, discovery, and rewards — with GPS tagging, face blurring, nearby duplicate checks, admin review, and vendor onboarding.
