About the Project

Project Overview

Also referred to as ANoN (Academic Network of NavIC), the NavIC Based Vehicle Tracking System validates incoming telemetry, stores current-state and historical vehicle locations separately, and delivers low-latency live updates through WebSockets and Redis Pub/Sub. A React + Leaflet dashboard provides live maps and route history with JWT authentication and RBAC.

Problem Statement

Fleet operators need reliable real-time monitoring using NavIC-enabled devices. Traditional systems often face delayed updates, inconsistent telemetry, duplicate records, and limited scalability across organisations.

Solution

Cloud-native NavIC fleet tracking with validated telemetry, live WebSocket maps, historical routes, and role-based multi-organisation access.

Target Users

  • Fleet operators
  • Public transport agencies
  • Logistics teams
  • Government vehicle cells

Key Features

NavIC Telemetry

Real-time vehicle tracking using NavIC/GNSS position streams.

Live Map Visualization

Leaflet maps with WebSocket position updates and historical trails.

RBAC Multi-Tenant Access

Super Admin, Admin, and User scopes per organisation.

Historical Analytics

Separate current-state and time-series stores for replay and reporting.

Value Proposition

Low-latency NavIC fleet visibility with secure multi-organisation access and reliable historical tracking.
